The Senior Software Engineer will focus on modernizing the core retail transaction ecosystem that powers in-store customer experiences. This initiative focuses on designing and implementing a next-generation POS and payment processing platform that integrates seamlessly with enterprise systems, enhances transaction security, and supports new digital payment methods such as EMV, NFC, and mobile wallets. The project will ensure high availability, performance, and compliance across all store locations—enabling smooth, secure, and efficient checkout experiences for customers.
This is a contract to hire position that will be onsite at the Ankeny, IA Facility. You can expect competitive pay.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will serve as a technical leader in the architecture, implementation, and support of mission-critical retail systems. This role requires a blend of hands-on engineering expertise and leadership skills to drive system performance, scalability, and security.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong hands-on experience developing software with .NET / C# or Java.
- Proficient in cloud infrastructure, containerization, CI/CD, and automation scripting.
- Knowledge of POS platforms, payment processors, and payment technologies including EMV, NFC, mobile wallets, and contactless payments is preferred.
