OUR PROJECT

The Lead Equipment Engineer will support a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing operation focused on wafer fabrication, back-end, and assembly equipment uptime and reliability. This role is responsible for leading shift technicians, prioritizing daily equipment activities based on production needs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives tied to equipment performance and KPIs. The position involves hands-on technical leadership, including validating corrective actions by running equipment, coordinating reactive and preventive maintenance, and supporting troubleshooting across a wide range of wafer processing and support systems.

This is a full-time onsite role located in Sherman, TX.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced Lead Equipment Engineer with a strong background in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and proven leadership experience. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience maintaining wafer processing tools, excels at troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical issues, and is comfortable mentoring and directing technicians in a cleanroom environment.

This individual should be capable of working independently, managing multiple priorities, and communicating effectively with both technical teams and management. Experience supporting continuous improvement efforts, training new team members, and participating in emergency response operations is highly valued.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years’ experience maintaining wafer processing or semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Prior experience in a Lead or Supervisory role overseeing technicians or shift operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and documentation.
