OUR PROJECT
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will support a major aerospace program focused on the design, development, and performance optimization of Vapor Cycle Systems (VCS) used in advanced aircraft cooling architectures. This project involves evaluating thermal requirements, designing refrigeration subsystems, and ensuring proper integration of compressors, condensers, evaporators, and associated hardware into next-generation aviation platforms.
This is a long-term contract position that requires an onsite presence at the Hartford, CT location.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support thermal system design and development within the aerospace industry. This individual should have proven design experience with a deep technical understanding of aerospace vapor cycle cooling systems and the ability to drive complex refrigeration design work. The ideal candidate is someone who has hands-on experience designing VCS or refrigeration systems for aircraft or other flying platforms and brings experience working with screw compressors.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Mechanical expertise in vapor cycle systems (VCS) for aerospace platforms.
- Knowledge of refrigeration system design, including sizing to performance.
- Experience developing and optimizing aerospace cooling and thermal systems.
