Who You Are:
You are an accounting professional with a related academic degree who has experience working in a consulting or professional services environment. You bring deep expertise in payroll processing including setting up multiple states, building out pay calendars, and troubleshooting payroll issues. You also have experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
You are excited to be hands-on in all facets of accounting to support your Senior Accountant in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is paramount. You possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities to interact with clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for W2 employees and 1099 vendors including payroll reconciliation and troubleshooting all payroll issues
- Handle international wire transfers and payment processes for contractors that are outside of the United States
- Support all accounts receivable processes including sending out invoices to customers and tracking purchase orders
- Support all accounts payable processes including reconciling vendor invoices that come to Enterprise Peak
- Prepare and submit various financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, providing necessary documentation and reports
Job Requirements:
This role would be ideal for an accounting professional with 3-5 years of full-charge bookkeeper or payroll specialist experience, preferably in the consulting or professional services industry.
- 3-5 years of experience experience owning the payroll process in a multi-state organization
- Hands-on experience with processing invoices and handling accounts payable
- Must have experience with QuickBooks Online
- Bachelor’s degree is required, Accounting/Finance degree is preferred
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- EFFECTIVE written and verbal communication skills are absolutely required for this role.
Additional Information:
This role will follow a hybrid schedule with a mixture of remote and on-site work in our Chicago office. As a company, we follow a hybrid model which includes two (2) remote days/week. We are located across the street from Oak Street Beach in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago. In addition to a beautiful work environment, we offer benefits, vacation time, paid holidays, and on-site gym membership. We do not offer a relocation package at this time. Applicants must reside within commuting distance of our office.
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and how the candidate scores through each step of our interview process.
