OUR PROJECT
Immediate opportunity to join our team supporting a leading defense technology organization at their Quincy, MA facility. You will perform mechanical design work using model-based definition (MBD) in SolidWorks, authoring fully annotated 3D product definitions and publishing 3DI PDF documentation that drives downstream manufacturing and inspection. This is hands-on, model-centric design work at the forefront of how modern defense programs are moving away from traditional 2D drawings toward a full digital product definition workflow. This is a contract position with an initial 3-month term and strong potential for extension.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to create and publish model-based product definitions in Quincy, MA. Hands-on experience with MBD design in SolidWorks and publishing 3DI PDFs using the SolidWorks MBD Publishing Tool is required. Experience releasing designs through Windchill is a strong plus but not required. You will work directly with the engineering team to deliver release-ready 3D documentation packages on a fast-moving schedule. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply specialized MBD skills on mission-critical defense hardware in a digital-engineering-forward environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Mechanical design experience using model-based definition (MBD) in SolidWorks
- Hands-on experience publishing 3DI PDFs using the SolidWorks MBD Publishing Tool
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T and 3D annotation / PMI on models
- Experience releasing designs through Windchill (preferred, not required)
- Ability to ramp quickly and deliver release-quality documentation on a short timeline
