OUR PROJECT

The Composite Design Engineer will focus on the structural design and optimization of composite and metallic components for next-generation air platforms, ensuring they meet stringent airworthiness and performance standards. As part of this initiative, our Composite Design Engineering team develops high-performance structures using cutting-edge materials and manufacturing processes, including carbon fiber, quartz, and honeycomb panels. You’ll play a key role in transforming conceptual designs into flight-ready components—collaborating across disciplines to deliver mission-critical, lightweight, and durable aircraft systems.

This is a long-term contract position that will be onsite at the Greenville, TX facility with a 9/80 schedule.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Composite Design Engineer with deep expertise with deep expertise in aircraft structural design, modeling, and drafting using Siemens NX. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both composite and metallic structural design, with hands-on experience designing aerodynamic fairings, creating aerodynamic shapes, and developing complex assemblies. You should possess working knowledge of honeycomb panel design and composite manufacturing processes such as autoclave and vacuum bag production.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mechanical Design Composite Engineer with aircraft expertise, including experience designing aerodynamic fairings, composite panels, and metallic structures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Siemens NX for modeling complex structures and aerodynamic shapes.
  • Working knowledge of composite honeycomb panel design using carbon fiber, quartz, and conventional materials, and familiarity with autoclave and vacuum bag production processes.
  • Secret clearance preferred but not required.
