OUR PROJECT
The Project Engineer will play a key leadership role supporting full lifecycle project engineering activities across complex software and hardware development, assembly, integration and test efforts. This position is responsible for driving execution and ensuring all cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives are met. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, overseeing engineering activities, and ensuring adherence to rigorous program and customer requirements—particularly within DCMA-surveilled environments. Projects will include large-scale, mission-critical initiatives such as space telescope and optical-mechanical system development, requiring deep technical insight and disciplined project execution.
This is a long-term contract position that will be onsite at the Wilmington, MA facility with a 9/80 schedule.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for Project Engineer to join our team who will be working with our Defense Engineering group supporting the development of mission critical Electro-Optical Devices. The ideal candidate will have proven success leading software and hardware integration programs, applying Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, managing technical suppliers, and mitigating program-level risks and opportunities. Candidates should possess active Top Secret clearance, and hands-on experience with space telescope or optical-mechanical programs. Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and customer engagement skills are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven IPTL/CAM professional experience with expertise in project engineering best practices, program execution, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Demonstrated success managing large, multi-discipline software and hardware integration programs ($70M+ budgets), including oversight of IPT Leads and matrixed labor resources.
- Prior experience in space telescope or optical-mechanical development programs essential, with strong skills in technical supplier, risk, and opportunity management.
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
