OUR PROJECT

The Plasma Equipment Engineer will play a critical role in supporting and advancing high-volume semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role focuses on maximizing equipment availability, reliability, and performance across plasma-based wafer processing tools. You will lead equipment improvements, preventive maintenance strategies, and complex troubleshooting efforts while partnering closely with process engineering, manufacturing, quality, and external equipment vendors. Your work will directly impact yield, uptime, and the successful deployment of new technologies in a fab environment. 

This is a 6-Month contract to hire position requiring full onsite presence in Sherman, TX.

We are looking for a Plasma Equipment Engineer who thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment and leads through influence, data, and trust. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with wafer processing equipment, strong RF and vacuum system knowledge, and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement. You should be comfortable leading complex repairs, mentoring technicians, and owning critical equipment KPIs from root cause to resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise with wafer processing equipment or semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with plasma-based tools (Etch, CVD, PVD, Furnace).
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting experience on tools such as Plasmatherm Etch, LAPECVD, PVD, Matrix Asher, Lam Rainbow, SPTS/KLA Sputter, Koyo Vertical Furnace, and/or Evatec BAK.
  • Deep understanding of RF systems, vacuum theory, and gas delivery systems.
  • Solid knowledge of vacuum systems (dry, turbo, cryo pumps; sensors; MFCs).
  • Proficiency with diagnostic and test equipment:
    – Oscilloscopes, DMMs, RGAs, RF meters, HV probes
    – Helium leak detectors and residual gas analyzers
