Who You Are:

You are passionate about establishing direct partnerships with managers and directors overseeing cutting-edge technology projects including, but not limited to, product development, AI technologies, and cloud applications. You are ambitious and determined to grow, develop, and build your sales career. You can quickly think on your feet and are able to pivot a conversation in response to the needs of a prospective client’s call.

You are excited to play a part in building up a book of business through steady persistence using data-driven and people-centered processes. Fighting with qualified leads to get some time on their calendar doesn’t faze you, and you don’t back down from challenging opportunities.

You are looking to be the face of our organization and to grow, build, and play your part in the rapid growth of a technology-centered company. This is an exciting opportunity to get your start in sales with the potential to move your way into our Client Relationship Manager position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct lead engagement through cold-calling, email campaigns, as well as active client relationship management
  • Set up client meetings and calls between clients and key client relationship managers while supporting their pipeline for successful business development
  • Participate in high-level conversations with specific stakeholders in charge of technology related projects
  • Assist the sales support team in lead generation activities as deemed necessary while managing all activity in our CRM: Pipedrive
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities across our market sectors
  • Learn directly from senior sales professionals to grow into a successful client relationship manager


Job Requirements:

This role would be ideal for an entry-level Business Development or Sales Development Representative with 1-2 years of professional business development experience, preferably in the technology services industry.

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in business development, outside sales, or customer service
  • Comfort and willingness to cold-call is required
  • Expertise in persistence on the phone to get 15 minutes on a client’s calendar
  • Experience participating in business development campaigns and managing sales pipelines
  • Proven track record of success in closing sales and exceeding daily goals
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail and process orientation is essential to succeed
  • Problem solving and team building skills are required
  • EXCELLENT written and verbal communication skills absolutely required for this role


    Additional Information:

    This role will follow a hybrid schedule with a mixture of remote and on-site in our Chicago office. As a company, we follow a hybrid, flexible model. We are located across the street from Oak Street Beach in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago. In addition to a beautiful work environment, we offer full benefits, vacation time, paid holidays, and on-site gym membership. We do not offer a relocation package at this time. Applicants must reside within commuting distance of our office.

    Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, expected commute, and how the candidate scores during each step of the interview process.
