OUR PROJECT
The Packaging Engineer will focus on eliminating handling and shipping damage to precision-machined, high-tolerance components and parts. These parts, often feature sensitive surface finishes and tight dimensional tolerances, requiring customized protection during transport and storage. You will be responsible for establishing standardized, repeatable packaging solutions for a low-volume, high-mix production environment.
This is a contract position that will be hybrid at the Summerville, SC facility.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Packaging Engineer with strong hands-on experience designing protective packaging for precision mechanical components. Deliverables will include clear packaging procedures, design documentation, and materials specifications integrated into TeamCenter for consistent reuse across programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience designing and documenting packaging for precision, high-tolerance mechanical components with sensitive surface finishes.
- Strong knowledge of materials engineering, packaging design, and protective methods for low-volume, high-mix manufacturing.
- Proficient in developing standardized packaging procedures and clear, visual documentation with full traceability in TeamCenter.
